Free Kennedy Center Season of Learning workshop on poetry and ecology, hosted by Turnaround Arts!
In this virtual workshop, poet and educator Jacqueline Suskin will explore ways to connect students with both the creative power of poetry and their local ecology. The workshop utilizes the Poem Forest Toolkit, a resource developed by Jacqueline Suskin and Turnaround Arts. Participants will explore the many ways to use the toolkit - from centering students with short eco-poetry writing prompts to helping students connect with a deeper sense of belonging to their neighborhoods. It’s a perfect way to close out this Earth Month and Poetry Month!
The workshop will take place on Zoom April 24 at 6 pm ET / 5 pm CT / 3 pm PT.
