Brian Allen is dedicated to arts and culture in the Quad Cities and is passionate about the nonprofit organizations in the community. He serves on the board of artsBASICS, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (QC Chapter), and Quad City Arts, volunteering on their Visual Arts Committee. He has served on committees for AFP, Living Proof Exhibit, and Scott Community College. Allen also serves on his local Cub Scout Committee (Pack 123) as Committee Chair.

Allen’s first involvement with a non-profit organization was as an AmeriCorps Member with Habitat for Humanity of East King County. Since then, Allen has dedicated his professional career to serving the community through arts and cultural non-profit organizations. He was recognized for excellence in his work as an Alumni Honoree of Illinois State University (2015) and has given talks about his collaborative projects at national (National Arts Educators Association 2021) and regional conferences (Association of Midwest Museums 2018).

As a board member of artsBASICS, Brian will bring his background in nonprofit management, arts education, and his enthusiasm for bringing more art connections into classrooms.
